From the beginning, a passion to “celebrate life” with an eye towards a better tomorrow drove Avida’s advocacy; as they mark their 30th year in the real estate industry, Avida continues to champion social enterprises that make a positive impact on communities. “Celebrating life with gratitude and hope is more meaningful when we extend this hope to more Filipinos,” said Tess Tatco, Avida Land Marketing Head. “For us at Avida, there is no better way to express our immense gratitude for 30 eventful years in the industry than by partnering with local life and livelihood businesses driven by causes that are likewise close to our heart,” she added. Meaningful collaborations To ring in its third decade in business, Avida relaunched several purpose-driven collaborations with local livelihood brands Messy Bessy and Rags2Riches, with projects that seek to uplift the lives of Avida residents while providing support for the wider community. The 30 Years, 30 Scholars campaign, in partnership with Messy Bessy, hands over a special set of organic and non-toxic home cleaning essentials to every new Avida homeowner. Avida’s patronage of Messy Bessy products provides new hope for thirty at-risk youth who have chosen to go back to school. “Our goal is for all thirty of our scholars to finish the program armed with the first college degree in their family lifting the entire family out of poverty permanently,” said Krie Reyes-Lopez, Founder and CEO of Messy Bessy. “Beyond the thirty scholars, Avida’s support will also spread our advocacy to their community who we know share in our aspirations for a healthier planet and a better future for everyone.” Creating a positive impact Avida likewise teamed up once more with Rags2Riches and its artisans for the Safe & Sound Care Set, an exclusive line of merchandise that includes a face mask with filters and a hand sanitizer, packaged in a personalized pouch. Multi-purpose organizers were also crafted especially for Avida, made of natural materials and indigenous textiles. “Each set is intentionally designed to enrich the homes that they will be part of while empowering the people who made them,” said Reese Fernandez-Ruiz, President and Founding Partner of Rags2Riches. “Partnering with a company like Avida, especially during this challenging time, is encouraging and inspiring, but on top of that, it is creating an actual positive impact on the lives of our community artisans,” she added. Celebration for a cause Avida also collaborated with Ayala Museum to mount an online fundraising concert featuring the Manila Symphony Orchestra last Oct. 30, 2020. The virtual concert for a cause was the culminating activity for Avida Land’s 30th anniversary celebrations. Viewers enjoyed symphonic renditions of three decades’ worth of OPM, all for the benefit of Ayala Foundation’s underprivileged students’ online education through the Get Access, Give Access campaign. The project aims to give at least 500 scholars from disadvantaged families in Tondo, Batangas, and Mimaropa internet access for one year, at the rate of one student-beneficiary per ticket sold. “Avida has been a long-time partner of the Ayala Museum and we are grateful that in celebration of their 30th anniversary, they have decided to support this fundraising campaign and join us in bringing The Rush Hour Concert experience to the virtual public,” said Ma. Elizabeth Gustilo, Senior Director for the Arts & Culture Division of Ayala Foundation Inc. More options for future homeowners Finally, as part of its efforts to provide a more efficient and convenient experience to its customers, Avida Land is strengthening its digital visibility by partnering with real estate listing platform Lamudi and launching designer living spaces by Gussy Design, known for its proprietary e-design platform. Future homeowners can easily filter through property choices on the Lamudi platform based on their lifestyle needs, aesthetic preferences, and budget. In partnership with Gussy Design, the Avida 360 Showroom hosts virtual property tours for interested buyers. Using the Showroom’s digital material and immersive walk-through, buyers can “experience” what it is like to live in an Avida Land property without ever leaving the comfort and safety of their homes.
